Understanding travel insurance

Planning a trip? Whether you're exploring Australia's backyard or venturing overseas, you might consider travel insurance. Everyday Insurance offers a range of cover that could suit your needs. Read our guide to understand more about travel insurance.

What is travel insurance?

Travel insurance can help protect you from unexpected events that might disrupt your trip, such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost luggage, and more. Our plans offer cover for a range of situations, so you can relax and focus on your holiday.

Is travel insurance worth it?

Travel insurance can offer financial support for unforeseen events that might happen during your holiday. Whether it's worth it, depends on individual factors such as the cost of your trip, your destination, your health, your risk tolerance and more.

If you're investing a significant amount of money in your trip or have concerns about potential disruptions, travel insurance might be a product to consider.

When should I buy travel insurance?

Many travellers consider purchasing travel insurance soon after booking their trip. This may provide cover for pre-trip cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.

What Travel Insurance policies does Everyday Insurance offer?

Everyday Travel Insurance offers a range of Domestic and International policies to suit your needs. The main difference between Domestic and International lies in the geographical coverage and the types of benefits offered.

Domestic Travel Insurance covers trips within Australia, while International Travel Insurance covers trips outside of Australia.
